Taffy's Bone Saga

Remember this?

That was the first time I ever shredded anything.....
It sure was fun!

Anyway, my momma says I have "issues".
She tells me I'm "Krazy with a capital K"!

If you look closely, you will see a bone in the newspaper above.  And, yes, I do have issues with my bones.
I can't help it.

Sometimes I go with Daddy to the office where we live.
The nice lady there always gives me a Milkbone.
Even though I know she is nice, I don't like to take the bone from her but as soon as I take it from Daddy,
I run straight to the door.  I run all the way home with it in my mouth and hide it for later.

Then, whenever the mood strikes me, I will pick it up.....
...and start whining loudly while pacing....
trying to find the perfect place to bury my bone.
*This can last up to 15 minutes!

On this particular day, I opted for the leather chair.

Still holding my bone, I feverishly dig
trying to make sure my bone is safe.

Then, once the "hole" is big enough,
I begin the process of placing my bone.
*She isn't lying, it is a process....takes longer than the digging.

Gotta get it all the way in there.

I shove it down as far as I can with my nose.

Next, I have to make sure it is covered so no one will find it.
*This always makes me laugh

I do a quick double check to make sure it is still there.

Nope, I don't think this spot is gonna work.

Gotta find a new spot for this bone.

Hmmm....this spot looks good.
*No digging here, just lots of pushing with her snout

Yep, that is the perfect spot!

More Bone Saga to come in the near future.

Bwahaahaa! Bones need special care. With three of us in this house, we just eat whatever it is quickly before some other dog gets it!

Hey Taffy!
Wow, that's such great work! Peeps don't understand how important and hard this stuff is. You can't just put these yummers any ole where. Gotta be selective and careful. Great job working on that chair!

I am confounded by your behavior. I just can't help but swallow any foodables that get put in my mouth. That bone wouldn't last a second in my labrajaws of doom.

Dexter

hehehehe TAFFY... that is so GRRRREAT... EVERYBUDDY KNOWS how imPAWtant finding the PERFECT place is. One can NOT just DROP a bone any old WHERE. Ernie once HID/Buried the SAME bone about 87 times over a two day span. He CRIED and CRIED.. so I thought he was SAD ... and to make him feel BETTER... I waited until he went out to pee... and then I (Frankie Furter) ATE IT !!!
WE are MOST impressed with your LAST "HIDING" place !!! BaaaWaaaah

I used to hide my bones from Stanley but he always found them. Now I just let him watch me and suffer while I toy with it. That is funny how you try to hide yours in the couch. Glad to hear from you. Stanley was wondering what you were up to. He is still talking about your toenails!

That's certainly one way to spend an afternoon! ;-) With two of us, there isn't much hiding that goes on - if one of us drops a bone/bully stick/kong/etc., it is immediately considered fair game. But we're quite impressed with the precautions your take with your bone. Although you might want to re-think that last hiding spot... Just saying!

Thanks so much for visiting my doxie blog! It's so nice to visit yours and read about your bone saga... it's hard to find a good spot for a bone. But wouldn't the tummy work, too?!

Keep on wagging,
Tootsie

Hello Tootsie, I love your final hiding place, just the perfect place and easy to find again when it is needed to be eaten. Such a kind lady at your Daddy's office to give you the bone to hide.
Keep up the good work on a leather chair too!!!!
