I'm so lucky to have so many furiends!

A Day at the Zoo

Mom went to the Kansas City Zoo Saturday with her work. They were having "Family Day". Only thing is, I thought I was part of the family but she said I couldn't go. Daddy didn't get to go either......he had to work.
First they had lunch and some of the ladies brought some animals over for them to see. This is a hedge hog and Mom said it reminded her of me because of his little brown nose. She even got to pet it.
They also brought this chicken around and,
get ready for this one.....
This is a Polish Chicken from England!
No, your eyes are not deceiving you....you read that correctly.
Maybe we could enter this guy into the
Most "Ear"Resistable Contest.
There was a whole lotta sunbathing goin on!
There were some lions laying in the sun....
The meerkats were trying to tan their tummies.....
I'm not sure if he was sunbathing or just moving along.
Do you think this guy is comfy sunning on that rock?
With all that sunbathing I think I shoulda been able to go to the zoo. After all it is one of my favorite pastimes.

These two were holding hands...sweet!
Now, this guy was loads of fun according to Momma.
While he was rolling around in the mud he had the urge to 'break wind'. Have you ever heard a rhino break wind? It was quite long and quite loud. Fortunately, Mom was not close enough to smell it! There were a bunch of little boys (and men) there at this time and they all got a big kick out of hearing that! Apparently, rolling around in the mud feels better when you get to toot!
Giraffes are Daddy's favorite!
Mom decided to take some "artsy" photos too.
My mom is a strange one I tell ya!
I thought the zoo was for animal watching.
Interesting......
I'm not sure if this one is artsy or not but I decided to include it anyway.
I don't think I have seen Mom be artsy before. I wonder if this will be a new thing for her....
She did get some flower photos too but she said we have to save those for a few of our Flower Fridays.
Don't forget to let me know if you would like to go out on
Ladie's Night (see previous post).

A Ladie's Night Celebration

Do you guys remember when Sedona and I snuck out and Sedona got put in puppy jail? If not, you can check out the story here (with links to Sedona's mug shot and story).
So, we were out catching some rays together and chatting about the video Coco has of some of the boys dancing...
(You have to see this! It will get your blood pressure up!)
100th Post invitation.egg on Aviary
...and the Pup Club came up. I mentioned we could have a night out to celebrate my 100th post and all us girls (sorry boys) could have a night out.
So, since THIS is my 100th post, it is time to CELEBRATE!
Sedona and I discussed her getting in trouble and decided we would not sneak out this time but would go with our parents approval. I am of age after all.
How 'bout it girls?
Who is up for a night out with Twix and Sedona?

I hope none of my home boys are offended. Depending on how this works, we will plan a night at the Pup Club for all of us sometime in the future.

Note from Mom: Please don't blame Twix for the quality of my "photoshopping" skills. This was my very first attempt using an online program. Also, I may need some help getting some photos together of their night out if anyone is interested.

Curious Flower Friday

These are Kayla's birthday roses from her Daddy.

Mom and I have some questions for you guys.....
*How do you keep up or find enough time? We're talking about blogging in general. Things like reading, commenting, and creating posts along with working, cooking, spending time with family and dogs.
*Do you follow everyone who follows you?
*Where are the extra treats hidden?
*Do you have a hard time finding things to post about? (Don't tell Mom I said this but sometimes I think my blog is getting boring...and I'm still a relative newbie!)
*What is your favorite thing about my blog?

I have entered in a fun contest over at Munchkin Memoirs. It is the Most "Ear"resistable Contest. Now, I have to say there are some pretty cute ears in this contest but go take a look for yourself. Oh, and vote while you're there too. You can vote once for your favorite set of ears (which I am sure will be mine ;o)). Seriously though, look through the entrants and vote for the one you feel is most "Ear"resistable. I don't have a chance in you know where of winning this one. But that is ok with me!
Munchkin Memoirs

Have a "Twixerrific" weekend!
Thanks Khyra for giving me that word! It's bound to become one of my faves!

Miscellaneous Monday

This is how Monday started. Looks like a beautiful day, huh?
This is how Monday ended.
I'm no weather expert like my furiend, Ammy, but I do know what they said on the news this morning. They did NOT say it was going to rain all day long. They said it would rain late in the afternoon. Now, for those of you who do not live in the area, it started raining about 10:00 this morning.....I don't call that late in the afternoon, do you?
I have some pretty short legs and I don't like tinkling in the wet grass. I tried with all my might to get under this bush......I guess I'm taller than I thought!!! Giggle!
By the way, I am not happy that today is the last day of summer. That means shivering season is quickly on its way.

Here I am saying a little prayer before the Chief's game Sunday.
Then I watched the game very intently.
Then I got my heart broken.....again. Another sad Sunday for Chief's fans. On a positive note, the defense did a better job this week (I won't mention they were playing one of the worst teams).
Even though they lost I am still a Raider Hater!
I don't have very long legs like all my Sibe furiends but I have been practicing the correct pawsition. How's this?
A little closer inspection....
And, lastly, I wanted to give you a look at Kayla's birthday party Friday night. Remember, it was the one I did not get to go to.
(Mom and Dad, I just want to say I don't think that is very fair!)
I know there is really no rhyme or reason to this post but that's why I called it Miscellaneous Monday!

Flower Friday

Here is this week's flower for you to enjoy.
This picture was taken last summer when Momma went to Powell Gardens for the butterfly exhibit.

Today is my cousin Kayla's 11th birthday!
Happy Birthday Kayla!!
Mom and Dad are going to her birthday party tonight but I don't get to go. It is in a restaurant and they say I'm not allowed. I say, Not Fair! :o(

Today is also Grandma and Grandpa's wedding anniversary!
Happy Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa!

I don't know if you remember or not but several weeks ago I got a PIF package from my girl, Sasha. Since this is my very first time participating, I would like to send out 3 PIF packages but I only had one pup say she was interested.....are there any other pups interested in playing?(Fiona, I haven't forgotten you. I'm just slow because Mom and Dad took my allowance to pay for my recent V.E.T. visits. )
If anyone else would like to play, please let me know in a comment or email me from the sidebar.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Sadness, Ears, and Awards

So, I watched the Chiefs game with my Dad on Sunday, as you might expect. Here is a photo of me cringing at the defense.
Then I was thinking it didn't look so good.
It made me sad and I pouted.
Might as well take a nap....there is always next week.
By the way, I respect anyone's decision to boycott the NFL for letting Vick back in. I hope I don't offend anyone by posting about the Chiefs.

If I understand the rules correctly, I am allowed to enter more than one photo in the Munchkins' Most "Ear"resistible Contest. I was hoping Momma would find some of my puppy pics but she didn't (or so she says!). So, I am settling for this photo:
If you haven't entered the Munchkins' contest yet you better hurry because it ends tomorrow night. Go here to get the details.

Speaking of the Munchkins; they gave me this great award which says I'm special! I already knew that but it is nice to have someone agree with me. Tiffany, Bently & Lexus, I have to apologize to you for missing this when I posted awards last week. I've been having trouble with Mom and her secretarial skills but I don't think I can fire her or I might not get to eat. Thank you so much for thinking of me, little ones! (I can't say that about too many of my furiends!)
The only rule for this award is to display it proudly, link to the Purple Hatter and display his button on your sidebar.
Next, the Beautiful & Sassy Sasha gave her award to all her readers and since she is a great furiend of mine I had to take it! Thank you so much, Sasha!
And I just received this award from the Fabulous Sadie today. I've never been to an island before but I am most certainly a princess! Thanks, Sadie, for sending this one my way!
Each one of these guys has a super terrific blog so if you haven't been to visit them make sure you do! They are all great and I'm lucky to have such wonderful furiends!
Now, I have to admit, I have never been over to see the Purple Hatter but since all 3 of these awards were made by him I will stop by soon.
I think most of you have received these awards but if not feel free to take them.

Today is......

RED FRIDAY!!!
You thought I was gonna say Flower Friday didn't you?
For those of you who don't live in the midwest area, Red Friday is a way for Chiefs fans to support their team on the Friday before they have a game. Even though the Chiefs have been struggling lately (ok, more than just lately) I wanted to show my support!
Unfortunately, during the photo shoot I was not being very cooperative. What can I say? I was way more interested in those treats Dad had.
So, these are the only pictures Mom got of me sporting my Chiefs jersey. Maybe I will try harder next time.
When I did finally agree to pose for a good picture, the batteries in the camera went dead! HeHe!
In honor of Red Friday, we have chosen a pretty red rose for today's Friday Flower.
This rose was from our neighbor's flower garden last year.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

GO CHIEFS!!

Please take a moment to remember those who lost their lives 8 years ago today. Also try to take some time to thank those who protect and serve us everyday.
