I Don't Brush My Teefers Day

Yes, yes, I know, this is Brush Your Teefers Day but, I don't do that.  I don't really like it and it hurts me.  As most of you know, the first 3 years of my life were spent making puppies at one of those horrible places.  During that time, I didn't have any dental care.  So, before I got to go home with Mom and Dad, I had to have a couple of my teefers pulled.....my 2 front teefs actually.  Then I had a whole bunch of teefers pulled the next year because they are just that bad.  Momma and Daddy tried brushing my teefers but I fought really hard even with the flavored teeferspaste.  Daddy said he thought the brushing was causing me pain so they stopped.  But, being the great pawrents they are, they didn't want me to lose the rest of my non-pearly whites so I have some different ways of keeping my teefers clean.

I get some of this stuff every morning on my breakfast.
We get this from our vet and it is just sprinkled on my food.  It only takes that tiny spoonful each day so the bottle lasts quite a while.

Then, before Mom and Dad leave for work, I get a Greenie every day.

I love my Greenies!  They are so yummy!
Then, when they get home from work, I get a Dentastix.

Oh, yeah!  These things are delish!
Mom and Dad also provide me with lots of bones to chew on, but most of them end up buried in the couch.

So, see, there are ways to help out your teefies without using the brush....just in case some of you are like me and don't like it.

I'm Glad This Isn't Me!

My momma has a friend that lives in the Boston area and her friend sent her this progression of pictures during February.  This first picture is the view from her back door
on February 2nd.

This next picture is from February 8th.

These next 2 pictures are from Valentine's Day.

This picture is from a different view on February 15th.
 OMD!!!!

This is also February 15th from the back door again but a little harder to see because there is snow on the screen.
And, it was still snowing!

And this is the evening of February 15th.
You can't even see the railing any more!
Our friend said the snow is about eye level in this picture.
What?!?

I know some of my furiends live in this area but for those of us who aren't experiencing it, it is just crazy!  For my mom, these pictures give a different perspective than what you see on TV.  It actually makes her speechless!  (Don't tell her I said this but, I didn't even know that was possible!)

These pictures just make me want to snuggle with
My Monkey Buns!

A Special Day

Today is a very special day because it is my dad's birthday!
In preparation for his birthday pawty,
I made some confetti.

For some reason Momma didn't appreciate my help.
Then she told me we weren't having a pawty.
Not having a pawty?
What is wrong with her?
I think that is terrible!
I decided I had to do something special for my dad.
I pondered this for a few days.....

I got it!!
But, I need some help from Blogville.
I want all of us to sing him a song.
I'll get his attention and make sure he is listening.

Ready?

And now, a big kiss!

Happy birthday, Daddy!
I love you!

A Surprise After the ♥ 2 ♥ Dance

I already knew how great Manley Stanley was but he totally blew my collar off last night!!!

I got home from the pawty and, of course, my daddy was waiting up for me.  He asked about my date and if Stanley was a pawfect gentledog cuz if not, he had plans for Stanley.  I told him all about the pawty and that Stanley was, as usual, very respectful.  Then he told me that I had a big box waiting for me.  Hmmmm....I wasn't expecting a package.

Gosh!  I can't even see over the top of it.
Either this box is gigantic or I am really short.

Daddy tipped it over so I could see and sniff what was in it.  It smells very tasty!

The first thing I sniffed was this Bravo stuff.
Let me tell you it is fangtastic!
It is Bravo freeze dried turkey dinner and it drove me crazy!

Hey!  It smells just like Stanley in here!

Aww, this monkey reminds me of Stanley.....Sigh.

Of course, he had to get a quick butt sniff but he didn't smell like Stanley.

Oh!  This is what smells like Stanley.  He must have rubbed himself all over the canvas just for me.

Check out this blanket I got!
It is so soft....just like Stanley's furs.

Oh, yeah...this smells exactly like Stanley.

Stanley sent me the best card.  Daddly didn't say anything about the marked out "kiss your" on the card so I think Stanley made that part for my eyes only.
Yes, I know you are supposed to read the card furst but, well, the other things were much smellier.

Look at everything my curly haired guy sent me!

Check out what the monkey's shorts say.
**Happy Dog**

The reason this monkey reminds me of Stanley is because I secretly call him Monkey Buns.  Shhh.....don't tell.

Oh how I miss you, Stanley.....

Knowing that Stanley planned to have this surprise waiting for me after the Heart 2 Heart Dance caused me to start break dancing.  Then, my daddy wanted to  know who taught me how to do that and he said it better NOT be Stanley.
"No, Daddy, it wasn't Stanley, it was a cat."

Thank you, Stanley, for such wonderful gifts
and the night of my dreams!
I U!

By the way, look at what my daddy gave my momma.
She thinks it is beautiful!

A Valentine's Evening Card for Stanley

Thank you so much for a wonderful night, Stanley!
You hosted the bestest Valentine's Day Dance ever!
Love and kisses,
Taffy

You should be able to make the picture bigger to see all the little notes I'm sending to Stanley.  My mom and I worked really hard sorting all those bags of candies to make this card so I sure hope Stanley loves it!

A Friend Needs Some Help

Hi, guys!  I know I haven't been around for a bit but Mom has had some crazy stuff going on at work and has been very tired when she gets home at night.
Hopefully, she is done with that now.

We have a friend, Karen, who just found out her dog, Daisy, needs surgery.  Daisy is a Beagle/Basset mix and oh, so sweet!

Karen found a lump on Daisy's neck and when she had it biopsied it came back as being a soft tissue sarcoma.  The vet said it is aggressive and invasive but it was caught early enough that surgery is an option.  Karen is currently in medical school so her finances don't really allow the $1,000 the surgery costs (and that doesn't include medications or follow up).

I know that you guys don't know Daisy because she isn't a Blogville resident but I also know that residency isn't a requirement for our community to reach out and help.  If you are in a position to help, or to read more about Daisy, please visit Daisy's GoFundMe page.

Feel free to share Daisy's information on your own blogs or Facebook page.

I'll be back tomorrow to show you a surprise I got!
