Flower Friday

Welcome to Flower Friday! 

I love Flower Friday's because they mean I get to spend 2 days with Mom and Dad!

Hopefully it won't be long and we will be able to start seeing the butterflies and spring flowers.

This week's flower was taken at a butterfly display last summer.

We apologize that we haven't been around to visit much this week. Mom has been working late every day because the dumdums she works for cut her department in half last summer and now they are extremely busy. And Daddy has been out of town this week but he will be home on Sunday! I've missed him a lot this week.

Yes, those paw prints.

Mom said they look like kitty paw prints.

 A cat?

 In my yard? 

That does not make me a Happy Camper!

I think I'll lay back down in my chair and plot my revenge! 

No cat will make Twix look like a fool!

Yes, I love my kitty furiends BUT I don't like cats in my yard! 

Flower Friday

It's time for another Flower Friday!

I hope everypup and everycat has had a great week!

Today is my Daddy's birthday and he is spending the day at home with me. You know I am really enjoying that! On the down side.....it is snowing again. Although, we had some great weather this week and I was able to spend some time out in it yesterday because my Dad had that day off too! We walked for quite a while and it was warm enough out that I wasn't in a hurry to get back inside. And now it is snowing! I haven't heard from my meterolopup pal Ammy yet but on the news they said we will get somewhere between 2 and 20 inches of snow this weekend.
Boy, isn't that a helpful forecast! Crazy humans!

What I Got

My goodness! I have been a very lucky girl lately and have received lots and lots of things.  So, in no particular order, I wanted to show you what all I've gotten.

I am very behind on posting some of these things but I also received the 2010 Shining Star Award from my pals at Zoolatry about a month ago. Maggy, Zoey, and their Mom give me a giggle several times a week. Stop in sometime for a smile ;o)

I also received the Best of Pals Award from my home girls, Martha and Bailey. Bailey has had a rough time recently and was attacked by some mean dogs. Stop by and give her some words of encouragement when you have time. I know it will make her feel better.

Yes, I know I should have posted those two awards a LONG time ago but I wanted to be different and not post them when everyone else did. Yeah, that's my excuse. Good one, don't ya think?

I also received a wonderful Valentine's Day card from my good furiend Mona! Mona and her Mommy do a lot of work with Dachshund Rescue of Houston. They are wonderful advocates for pups looking for furever homes. Please stop by and say hi if you don't know Mona.

Dasha at Din lumea mea (In my world) gave me another wonderful award. She loves my blog! 

Please stop by and visit Dasha. She lives in Romania and talks about what a beautiful country she lives in and how much she loves her country. Unfortunately, dogs are not treated respectfully but Dasha is trying to make a difference. I see some similarities between what Dasha describes and how Lorenza says dogs are treated in her beloved Mexico.

I'm sure you remember that I won Reader's Choice for the Hound group at Mango Minster. Well, look what I found in my pee mail today:

Awww, Twink you are so cute!

Twinkie tells her story of being lost, being found, finding her Mom, her siblings, getting a sister, etc. Twinkie was sick when she picked out her Mom and she remained sick for a very long time. Her Mom must be a wonderful human for all that she puts up with from Twink for all the time and work she put into saving Twink with no guarantee that Twink would make it. 

We love you Twinkie's Mom! Thanks for investing in The Tiniest Dog in the World and for sharing her with us!

Friday's Flower

Sorry it has been a while since my last post. 

Can anypup or anycat give me some pointers on keeping my mom in line?

She keeps using excuses like she had to work late or she is tired..... I don't see what difference that makes. Sometimes I'm tired after napping all day. And that is hard work too! 

I had a couple ideas but I'm not sure they will work. Please let me know if you have tried any of these and if you got good results.

*I could growl at her and show her my teefers

*I could stop giving her kisses

*I could go on a hunger strike

*I could leave some "presents" in the house

*I could tinkle in the big bed

Other ideas will be greatly appreciated!

Before I let her know how I feel I thought I would post one of her favorite flower photos and see if that made her feel guilty enough to help me keep my bloggie up to date.

Gosh! With all the excitement going on over at Mango Minster it seems like the week has flown by! I have a feeling there has been some celebrating going on here and there.....

Wonderful Wednesday

This photo is actually from Saturday but I still feel wonderful when I look at it!

We actually got some sun last weekend! I can't remember the last time I got to sit in the sun and you know how much I love that! It wasn't terribly warm but Mom was kind enough to leave the front door open for me. Maybe I should be a little nicer to her, what do ya think?

To My Loyal Fans

I just couldn't believe it when Mom told me I won "Reader's Choice" at Mango Minster 2010. There were so many great hounds competing it still just blows my mind! Thank you so much to each and every one of you that voted for me. I am greatly touched.

Let me set the scene for you.....

Mom comes home from work, brings in the groceries (nothing in there for me), puts the groceries away, and then gives me my daily treat. Just normal stuff. Nothing special, right? Then she boots up the computer and quickly checks Mango Minster and sees that I won. She came into the living room to tell me and sees me napping under my covers. 

She yanks the covers off me and wakes me up. 

"Twix, why are you sleeping? Your public has spoken!"

Huh? What? 

What in the world are you talking about? 

You really have lost your marbles haven't you? 

I don't know what she was expecting me to do. 

I wasn't hearing any food being opened in the kitchen.

"Twix, you won Reader's Choice at Mango Minster!"

*Shocked*

I'm not sure I heard that correctly.....she assured me I did.

Oh, my, I'm feeling faint.....

Next, the Pupparatzi showed up....

I had to give my adoring public what they were waiting for.....

Ok, enough already! 

Stop, please stop!

One more? Ok....but only of my paw. 

I'm certain my cute feeties are what cinched the win for me.

The judges came into the ring first. Don't Martha and Bailey look totally fab? Um, I'm not quite sure what to say about Mango though. You don't suppose he was pranked do you?
