A Visit to Grandma & Grandpa's House

You guys are such great furiends! Several of you have asked about my Grandma so I decided to share my visit on Saturday with you. But first, a bit of an update.
Grandma started her chemotherapy almost 3 weeks ago. She has been very fortunate in that it hasn't made her extremely sick. She has a very good doctor that has her start taking different medications several days before and after the chemo to treat a lot of the side effects. She has been able to work part time and says the worst part is the fatigue. She will go in for her second chemo treatment this Wednesday.
We were on our way over and I had to stop and make sure Mom and Dad were coming. Man, for people with legs a million times longer than mine they sure are slow.

Here I am trying to shake off the cold...

We're here!

Grandma's doctor told her that her hair would start falling out about 3 weeks after her first treatment. Since my Daddy shaves his head, she asked him to do the honors for her.
I stood guard in front of Grandma and made sure everything went ok.

I also did some snoopervising of Daddy's work.

Grandma and Grandpa have two cats.
This is Gwen.

This is Sammie.

Gwen and I were having a stare down.

I usually bark at cats but for some reason I don't bark at Gwen and no one can quite figure that one out. I do bark at Sammie when I see her.
Here are a couple photos of me and Grandma together:

She doesn't like it too much when I kiss her but I still try!

So, things are going better than we all thought they would for Grandma right now. Thank you so much for your care and concern.

Hi Twix

We are so glad your grandma is doing so well and she looks great.
As for the cat thing We think that maybe you just have an understanding with the cat, cats really aren't that bad, in fact they could be a lot of fun.
And as for your grandma tell her we all still have crossed paws and hope that she continues to get better.

Hi Twix, you are looking after Grandma so very well.
Lots of kisses and cuddles is just what the doctor ordered!
Your Grandma was looking well in her pics and so happy to be cuddling you.
Our mum's friend had chemo and treated herself to the most amazing wigs!
She had a lovely brunette curly one and a short blond one!
Tell Grandma we are asking after her and sending all our love - both canine and human.

Hey Twixie-Chic!
Just got caught up on your goings-on...so, so glad to see you recovered from your scary illness, and that Santy Paws was so good to you (and your hooman! Bon Jovi rocks!). Thanks for this update on your grandma...so many hoomans are praying for her, and all your furiends have their paws crossed extra-tight. That's so special that your grandma asked your dad to groom her...bet it was hard for efurrybody not to tear up, huh? My hooman did and she wasn't even there!!
I love the shot of you & Gwen staring each other down; great angle :-)
Be sure to keep giving your grandma kisses...she only *says* she doesn't like 'em :-)
Your pal,
Sedona

Glad your Grandma is holding up well so far. The people sickies can get really bad, guess that's the downside of being a human... Looks like she had a great support system, you included, Twix!!

I think that this is great news, under the circumstances. Gee your grandma looks tired but glowing. She looks so loving when you're with her. Since your grandma and grandpa have shaved, are you considering it too? Way to take care of your peoples like that Twix :) My thoughts are with all of you.

Hi Twix, mom and I are glad to read that your G-ma is doing well. She has some very pretty kitties too. Do you like to play with them?
Mom often wonders if I'd like to have a puppy? HA I say yes as long as it knows I'm Queen Bee.
