Miscellaneous Monday

This is how Monday started. Looks like a beautiful day, huh?
This is how Monday ended.
I'm no weather expert like my furiend, Ammy, but I do know what they said on the news this morning. They did NOT say it was going to rain all day long. They said it would rain late in the afternoon. Now, for those of you who do not live in the area, it started raining about 10:00 this morning.....I don't call that late in the afternoon, do you?
I have some pretty short legs and I don't like tinkling in the wet grass. I tried with all my might to get under this bush......I guess I'm taller than I thought!!! Giggle!
By the way, I am not happy that today is the last day of summer. That means shivering season is quickly on its way.

Here I am saying a little prayer before the Chief's game Sunday.
Then I watched the game very intently.
Then I got my heart broken.....again. Another sad Sunday for Chief's fans. On a positive note, the defense did a better job this week (I won't mention they were playing one of the worst teams).
Even though they lost I am still a Raider Hater!
I don't have very long legs like all my Sibe furiends but I have been practicing the correct pawsition. How's this?
A little closer inspection....
And, lastly, I wanted to give you a look at Kayla's birthday party Friday night. Remember, it was the one I did not get to go to.
(Mom and Dad, I just want to say I don't think that is very fair!)
I know there is really no rhyme or reason to this post but that's why I called it Miscellaneous Monday!

Twix, I totally love your pawsition photos! They rock! I hope the weatherman gets it right tomorrow... or maybe he should look for a new job holding your personal umbrella.

Sorry about your Chiefs... hope they do better next time!

We agree with you on that rain - we don't like to go out in it and we are afraid of umbrellas!

PS - who else but a weatherman can keep a job and always be wrong?

Hi Twix,
Oh my sweet Toto the mini doxie (RIP) did not like to get his feet wet either but worse than that was getting his belly wet. What a cute post today and I can say with supreme authority (I'm a cat) you have your paws in the perfect position!!!
Very nice party pictures too.

Your PAWsition was grrrreat. I hate the shivering season too. It is a dachshund thing. We all hate to have ANYTHING fall from the sky, we are all 70 degree dogs. 69 is too cold and 71 is too hot. Perhaps you and I should explain these things to the WEATHER PERSONS. If they understood our aversion to falling dampness and fluctuating temps. I am sure they would make all forcasts WARM AND DRY.

How could the Chiefs lose with you sending all those prayers? Sorry, Twixie...
Nice party pics...hope they at least brought you a doggie goody bag!

We had rain all day yesterday too. Yuck! At least the sun is shining right now and the roofers are back up on our roof. Yay!

I hope you at least got one of those yummy looking cupcakes!

Twix, the paw positioning was just pawsome! Yes, rain all day yesterday and often quite a bit of it. TD loves the rain, but not Phantom. Much better day today but still not much sun.

Not much to add about our pathetic Chiefs.

Woos, the OP Pack

Our weather bipeds in our part of the state are always wrong, too. They should really call me first, don't you think?
That birthday party looked so FUN! Did your mom and dad at least bring you home one of those pretty CUPCAKES!?!?!
And the Chiefs.... ah, the Chiefs. They ALMOST did it - they just couldn't seal the deal! :( Maybe next time.
Love,
Ammy

Poor Twix-
We know how you feel - our Cleveland Browns are professional heatbreakers. That why we root for the Buckeyes! Just find yourself a nice college team to help make you feel better, or feel free to cheer for our boys :)
