Exciting and Not Exciting

Let's talk about the exciting stuff first!
My guy, Manley Stanley and his Dood bro, Murphy, have chosen me to serve in their 2015 cabinet!  I have been chosen to be the Director of Blogger Technology.  I'm hoping I will be able to do a good job in that position.  If you have questions about Blogger, please let me know and I will do my best to answer them.

In addition to that, I've also been chosen to be a Probation/Parole Officer.  You know, just in case Top Cop Bites and the Blogville PD arrest someone who is then released from the Blogville jail.  Office Bites has already given me my badge!  Oh, I can't wait to use it!

And, I have decided to be part of the Blogville Choir!
I am so excited to get started with all these new adventures next year!  It will be here sooner than we know!

Now, I have to tell you about the not exciting stuff.....
I was not very excited when I came home from a walk with Mom today looking like this:

I love Stanley's curly hair but I hate it when my hairs are curly!  If my furs are curly, it means I  got wet.
I do not like being wet!
So, imagine if you will, it was sprinkling when I went out for my afternoon walk today.  Not a big deal, I can handle that.  On the way home, it started pouring rain!  Mom had an umbrella that she opened for herself.  She says she tried to keep it over me but well, you know how that goes.  We were staying on the sidewalk because the grass was soaking wet (and because Mom had on a new pair of sneakers).

I took a few steps into the grass and then back on the sidewalk.  Mom wondered what I was doing because I did that about 3 or 4 times but, at some point I decided I didn't care if the grass was wet or not.  I took off running through the grass, taking Mom on a shortcut.  I ran the whole way home, dragging her behind me.  But do you know what she did?  She laughed at me!!!!  I couldn't believe it!   She laughed the entire way home!  She thought it was funny because I am a very laid back pup and I just took charge and took over our walk.

I was really glad to get her new shoes wet and muddy!
I know my furs are usually wavy but they get really curly when wet and as I mentioned I don't like them curly.  Mom, however, loves it when my hairs get all curly, probably because she was a teenage in the '80's.  She calls me curly girly which is almost as bad as getting laughed at.

BOL - I don't at all blame you for bolting back home Taffy!!! You do look kinda cute with those curls, but now you are safely back in the warm and dry and looking well snuggled up... I think it is fabulous that you are getting so much responsibilities in the new regime. Good times ahead, methinks! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

Wow, you've got so much exciting stuff going on in your life! I agree with you on the getting wet part, though. I have a snazzy yellow rain slicker to keep me dry and toasty when it rains. Maybe you need one of those.

Sometimes you just have to take over because Humans get funny ideas. So well done--draggin' her home! We don't like going out in the rain either.

Running in the rain! I like that! And running in the sun, and the snow, and the fog, and the wind, and ... well, you get it.
