A "Royal" Day at the Park

Earlier this summer (in June), Mom and Dad took me to a Kansas City Royals baseball game.  Every summer they have "Bark at the Park" and dogs are allowed at the game too.  I even had my own ticket!

Since the Royals are in the play offs, I thought this would be a good time to tell you all about my adventure at Royals Stadium.

Mom bought me a special shirt just for the game.

I wore it proudly as we walked from the parking lot to the game.

It was a really long way from the car to the stadium and it was a lot of steps for my short little legs.  I finally convinced Daddy to carry me.

It was really hot that day and they had lots of pools full of ice water available to cool us doggies off.

It was my first time ever being in a pool!
Momma got my shirt wet with the water and it kept me cool during the game.

After we found our seats, this guy came and sat next to us.  He was a Golden Doodle just like Stanley.  Momma said his furs were very soft.

And then a couple of rows in front of us was another Golden Doodle.  He had the longest tongue I've ever seen!

Don't worry Stanley, I didn't flirt with either one of those guys.  Momma did but I didn't!

There were lots of doxies there.  All of the ones in these pics were near our seats.

Slugger, the Royals' mascot, even picked a doxie up!

I had my very own seat and I made good use of it.

In case you don't know, sometimes baseball games get a little boring.  I'm not ashamed to admit I took a nap or two.

But when the game was interesting....

.....I paid attention.

We saw some interesting things at the game like this Yorkie that had a KC Royals dress.
Who told that black Lab he could photo bomb us?

This dog was interesting too.  Why is he standing on the fire hydrant?  I thought those were used for other purposes.

During the 7th inning stretch, we went for a walk and I found a nice cool place to relax.

And then I met a furiend.

By far, this was the strangest thing I saw at the game.

Am I the only one who thinks someone is just a tiny bit spoiled?

Does anyone see something wrong with this picture?

When the game was over, we made the long walk back to our car.

We are cheering the Royals on to beat the Baltimore Orioles and go to the World Series!
LET'S GO
ROYALS!

Wow! That was a fantastic day out. We are so envious. We don't go to many crowd events. SHE says we don't behave. Love your photos.

Unfortunately we have some diehard Orioles friends, so we'll have to sit on the fence for this one.

We are so glad some of our goldendoodle relatives got to go to the game with you! (Stanley is glad you didn't flirt.) It looks like it was a great game!! Our furs are extra soft cuz we got a bath today. Mom says she can't keep her hands off my soft furs so it is OK your mom flirted. She was powerless to resist!

Your Pals,

Murphy & Stanley

What a great event. It is so nice that they even had cold pools for all the doggies!

You seem to attract golden doodles all around you. I think they wanted you to flirt with them but we all know that you're loyal to Stanley.

What fun. (and yes, I saw something wrong with that photo - yuck).
