This and That

Since several of you have asked about my Grandma I thought I would give you an update. Here is a comment she left on last week's Flower Friday meant for all my great furiends to see:
Twix,
Thank you,for sharing about my surgery & recovery, I'm doing better but now I have to have chemo. Please continue to pray for me & Twix will keep you informed on how I am doing. I Love all of you & thanks for all your prayers.
Twix's Grandma
We are very grateful for you guys and the support you have provided us. As you can see, Grandma will have to have chemotherapy and we are hoping she can wait until after Christmas to start. Her pathology report showed that her returning ovarian cancer was starting to invade other areas. The good news is that this was just starting to happen so we caught it early. She will be in chemo treatment for about 6 months. Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
~~~~~~~~
I have found a new sleeping position and Mom and Dad think it is a bit odd. Let's see what you guys think....
Keep in mind that I was completely under the covers and sound asleep before Mom started taking my pictures.
Mom didn't take a photo of that but said you can certainly tell when I'm sleeping like this.
I don't see anything odd here, do you?
Can't a girl sleep anyway she wants without the stupid puperatzi waking her up? Sheesh!
Note from Mom: Twix has started sleeping in this (strange) position recently. I have a hard time imagining she is relaxed like that but she must be comfy because she out!
~~~~~~~~
I get excited over silly things and have been told I am easily amused but did you notice I have 100 followers? I'm very excited about that!
~~~~~~~~
Whats happening outside right now....
Whats happening inside right now....
Are you crazy?
You have lost your freakin' mind if you think I'm going out in that!
Yes, I know it isn't a lot of snow and several of you like it but....
you try having legs a couple inches long and tinkling in that stuff. You might just change your mind!
I hope those of you that love snow enjoy the photos....now come get this nasty stuff!
Thats all of today's This and That. I hope you enjoyed it!
Hi Twix,
We are glad the doctors caught your grandma's cancer early before it spread to far. Captain thinks your sleeping position is just dandy and he also does not care for cold weather... though we don't get accumulated snow, he can feel your pain since his fur is nearly non-existant!
Hi Twix!
We are so glad your grandma is feeling better and we hope she continues to get better.
PS
We are getting snow here in PA too and Sadie feels the same way you do about it, so if you run out of snow and still have some friends that want it tell them to come to PA to get ours to.
Congratulations!!! you hit the big 100 !!!
I am so very much happy that grandma is better.
Love your sleep position. I think I'll give it a try tonight.
We who are Dachshunds hate snow... and wet grass when it is too long. Plus... that snow stuff is just darned cold.
I hope that blizzard doesn't come after YOU too. It is all too scary.
Thanks for the PIF info and.... can't wait.
Give all of your two leggers some special Twix love today.
Twix mom and I are ROFLOL!!! Mom started telling me funny stories about Toto,the family's mini Dachshund from many years ago.
Thankfully he was a mini because they had to man/woman handle him to get him outside in bad weather. Mom and I are amazed that you can sleep with your legs stretched out so stiff.
But hey who are we to judge your comfort.
Hugs to G-ma
Dear Twix,
My mum says Skippy used to sleep in the 'legs straight out' pose.
She and Dad thought it was funny.
Our whole family sends love and blessings to your Grandma, Twix
Twix, that position is a very odd one to sleep in, but then again, Chewy has several odd sleeping positions too! Whatever makes you feel comfortable, then go for it!!
Thank you for the update on your Grandma, I'm so relieved that the cancer was caught in time and I'm hoping the chemo will take care of all of it. She is still in my thoughts.
Kisses, Nadine
Hi Twix,
You look so cute! Me and Banjo sleep like that all the time. Mom says it's like rigor mortis has taken over our bodies. Yeah it's sick, but we love her anyway. We get her back by poking her in the ribs with out stiff legs. BOL
Congrats on reaching 100 followers!
We got lots of snow too. I will post about that later today.
Bijou
I think I would love that snow! I've never seen snow before, but I love the cold!
Congrats on your 100 followers! That's awesome!
Thank you for the update on your grandma. We are keeping her in our thoughts.
Hi Twix,
If you are comfy that way, then go for it - seriously, did you see how TD likes to sleep, totally upside down, legs in the air, nothing but total relaxation.
We will continue to keep your Grandma in our thoughts and prayers.
TD loves the snow and the cold, but not Phantom, even though he is a siberian, he likes to be warm. We understand it must be very chilly for you now, especially with how cold it is tonight.
Hi, Twix!
We have all the faith that your Grandma is going to be healthy again soon! Paws crossed!
I have never slept in that position but sure you look very comfy!
Thankfully we don't get snow here. I can't imagine how cold it is. Today we had around 65 degrees and I have been wearing a t-shirt and a sweater! ha!
Have a good night
Kisses and hugs
Twix, You look like "Super Pup" w/ your legs stretched out...too cute!
I can imagine you hate the snow...My childhood Doxie, Brunie, hated going to the beach on windy days because the sand blew in her face, being only a foot off the ground!
I sure do miss that sweet little doggie...that's why I love visiting you so much!
Give Grandma a hug,
SEDONA said...
Oh Twix, I asked a question at the end of my post today but now I know your answer! You are a heat-seeking missle of a dog, arncha?
That sleeping position is too funny...a little scary tho' 'cuz I think that's what doggies must look like after...y'know...they cross the Rainbow Bridge :-/ Bet your hooman got a good scare the first time she saw that!!
We are praying for your Grandma, and BG sometimes sleep like that. With your light coat, I'll bet you get very cold in snowy weather. BG has a light coat like yours from our Chihuahua/Doxie father, and he gets really cold when the temperatures drop. Corgis were bred in Wales and have a heavy undercoat to help us stay warm during cold weather... not great during the hot weather, but nice for cold. I only have a light undercoat so if it gets really cold, I get cold too and that's why Dad makes me and BG coats.
