Update

Thanks everyone for your concern and crossed paws. I went to the V.E.T. tonight and they took a sample of my poo cause I was having some bleeding along with the diahrrea yesterday and they took some blood. They said my poo was looking better and my temperature was back to normal. My bloodwork, however, is another story. My white blood cell count is pretty high; high enough that they thought about keeping me in the hospital but decided not too. Thank DoG!
They aren't 100% sure what is going on but my bloodwork didn't show pancreatitis. The V.E.T. thinks I have some inflammation in my intestines or some bacterial infection. I got 2 different kinds of antibiotics, a shot for nausea, and some yummy canned food. Even though the canned food is bland I still like it. Mom gave me a little when we got home and, so far, I have kept it down. The V.E.T. said if I don't get better within 48 hours then I have to go back and stay in the hospital. Hopefully I am on the upward swing. I have been to see the V.E.T. a little more than I like lately.
Personally, I think Mom and Dad are a little overprotective and worrisome. The V.E.T. didn't agree with me and said they have a right to be worried.

Twix, I have been worried and have checked your blog several times today. I am so glad to read an update. I am sure you will be fine now. I don't like going to the vet either, but I have to admit, I do feel better after they give me medicine. Please rest and take full advantage of this, you never know what you might get out of it, in the way of pressies and lovies. I love my Twix, please don't be sick anymore.

Twix, glad you caught soon. If it's HGE, you want to act fast, trust me. I had it a while back. With the white blood cell count being high and considering her age, did they have any concerns about cancer?

Hi Twix, I wish you all the best. I just lost my beloved Sasha after she battled with some very serious health issues for 11 months. Now she's my Angel pup, forever in my heart. Try not to be afraid of the V.E.T. He know's what's best for you really.

Get well soon! Hugs and Kisses.

We are glad to hear the V-E-T doesn't think it is pancreatitis. But we are sorry you still aren't feeling 100%. Hopefully the antibiotics and the bland diet with work fast! We love the bland diet too! We are thinking of you.

Good news - hope it keeps getting better! There seem to be a lot of tummy issues out there these days. I surprised my mom during the middle of the night with some unannounced barfing, Made me feel better & now I'm OK, but mom kept grumbling about having to change everything down to the mattress pad at 4AM..
