Friday Flashback with Twix

This week's flashback gives a perfect example of Twix's personality.  There were a couple posts prior to this where she was talking about not being happy because she heard company was coming.

Today's Flashback Friday with Twix was originally posted on April 26, 2009.

Our company is Baxter. He lives a few doors down. I don't mind playing with him--OUTSIDE! But I especially like going to see his Mom; she always has good treats! Baxter will be here another day or two but he is so hyper....I think he has doggie A.D.D. He growls at me when I get close to his crate and when he is near his food. He thinks he is sooo tough but he isn't cuz then he runs off and I eat his food!

A Little Woozy

I went to the vet today and had my teeth cleaned.  You know, a girl has to prepare for having her first date.

I'm feeling a bit out of it now that I'm home.

Dr. Abby had to pull 12 of my teeth! 

That is not a typo.....she really did pull 12 of them.

Making babies at a puppy mill for the first several years of my life took a toll on my teeth.  My daddy adds this stuff to my food every day to help keep the plaque off my teeth.  We've been told this stuff works great and really helps.  I guess with my teeth not being in great shape to start with it was just not enough.  I think that means I am gonna start getting my teeth brushed.  I'm not too sure how I feel about that.

They gave me a bandage that matched my toenails! 

On the plus side, I get to eat soft, canned food for a few days!  And I think that is about the yummiest stuff on earth!

I can't leave this post wordless because there are several boys that have asked me to accompany them for Sarge's Date Day!!!  I'm so excited...I've never been on a date before.  I must tell you guys that my Daddy said he will have to meet you and approve you before I can go.  

I sure hope he doesn't embarrass me!

A Busy Labor Day Weekend

Hi and Happy Labor Day!

Wow!  I had a busy weekend.  

First of all, we walked to the playground.

Then, while Momma was busy pushing....

....I tried to stay in the shade.

I also checked some pee mails.....

.....while E and Momma stayed busy on the swing.

We went back home because I needed to 

take a nap keep an eye on E.

After I guarded the front yard from those blasted squirrels,

I came in and found the best place in the house.

I did some of this....

....and I lived up to being a lap dog.

I tried out the bed to make sure it was comfy 

before Momma and Daddy used it.

And, lastly, I did a whole lot of this....

I hope your Holiday weekend was as fun as mine was.

Flashback Friday with Twix

This blog was started by Twix and it is very important to me that she not be forgotten.  I am planning to do a weekly "Flashback" using one of her posts.  Hopefully, that will give our new followers a chance to get to know her and our long time followers some reminders of what a character she was.

My Daddy

See that picture of me? I was all comfy on the floor and Momma came and put that stupid camera in my face. Just as she clicked, Daddy came into the room. She calls this picture "Worship" because I worship my daddy.

I have the best Daddy in the world! I was about 2 when he started coming around. He didn't really like me at first...because I'm small of all things! So, since he didn't like me, I didn't like him! I even used to steal his food when he wasn't looking....OH! That made him mad! Tee Hee! I loved it! Anyway, Momma got sick and had to go to the hospital for a week. Daddy had to come over and take care of me and my step sister. When he tells the story he says we "bonded" during that time. The truth is, he felt sorry for me because Momma wasn't here and he spoiled me. He has been spoiling me ever since too.

I follow him everywhere and Momma gets jealous. Sorry, Momma, you don't spoil me like he does. I can get away with anything with Daddy. This is how much I love him....

We are even the same color...and we have the same eye color even though you can't tell in this picture. Maybe he was around from the beginning and Momma was hiding him!

Back to Blogville??

 Hi, remember me?

I'm Taffy, sister of Blogville's famous Twix.

Some of you may remember that a couple of years ago we had some "house guests" that moved in.  There were 4 of them, 2 adults and 2 children, but they have recently gotten their own place.  

So, Momma was thinking maybe I could start blogging again now that things are back to normal at our house.

So, what do you guys think?

Should I move back to Blogville?

I went to the groomer's on Friday and while I was there I had my first pawdicure that included this fabulous pink polish.  I've never had my nails painted before but I do love them!  Momma decided I needed to have a

photo shoot with my new look.

And, besides, you guys haven't seen me in a while so lots of pictures are in order, right?

We had a new person do my grooming this time and Momma says this is the first time that my bushy brows have been done correctly.  She asked for a pose to show them off.....

We miss our furiends!

Hi furiends! 

Gosh!  Mom and I sure miss you guys!  Mom was getting teary eyed at work last week when she was looking at my blog because she misses everyone so much!  We aren't able to get back to blogging right now because we currently have 4 additional people living in our 2 bedroom house
(2 adults, a 5 year old, and a 7 year old).

We just wanted you guys to know we are still here and everyone (including Grandma) is doing good.  Mom and I have visited a few furiends tonight but, unfortunately, aren't able to visit everyone.  We are having a very rare night of Momma, Daddy, and me at home alone :o)

I was taken to the groomer a couple weeks ago.
