A Note From Taffy's Mom

First of all, I apologize for being terrible about keeping up Taffy's blog.  Those of you who have been long time readers may remember that my mom has Leukemia and had been in remission.  About 6 weeks ago, she came out of remission and has started chemo treatments again.  She is on a 28 day cycle where she gets chemo 10 days in a row, then gets a break for 18 days, and then she starts over.  She will end her second round of chemo tomorrow.  Taffy's daddy and I have been helping her as much as we can and taking her to her treatments when we are available.  We would appreciate lots of POTP and prayers for her.

This is Taffy's daddy, Taffy, and my mom from earlier this summer, before her Leukemia came out of remission.

Another thing some long time readers might remember is that my mom was looking for a doxie to adopt.
She found a sweet girl named Zoe.

Zoe has been really good for my mom.
Sorry it has taken me so long to introduce her to you.

Now, about Taffy.....
Her dad was worried that she was getting too hung up on Stanley and becoming a little too "Worldly".  You know how pawtective he is of his little girl.  Well, he became so concerned that he sent her to a convent that is outside the city limits of Blogville.

I know she illegally contacted Stanley recently and gave him the horrible news.  I hope her daddy doesn't make her stay long (although the illegal note to Stanley won't help).
I really miss her!

  2. We will send all our POTP prayers to help your mom battle this nasty disease. Now on another note, Stanley's heart was broken. He hasn't been able to eat or sleep since he received the telegram. We are leaving on the bus tomorrow to head to the GREAT DEBATE.

  7. OMD we LOVE your Grandma. We have so many fabulous memories of her. We have our paws crossed fur her and are sending POTP and Prayers that this will go into remission or go away TOTALLY.

So THAT is what is up that back road outside Blogville. The one that has the sign that says Admission By PAWMISSION only. We had NO idea it was the Holy Sacred Lady of Our Sorrow Convent. We are so Sorry that Mr. A. thinks that Taffy belongs there. She really isn't Worldly... she is just BlogvilleLy.
We hope that Mr. A. lets her come home before being at Holy sacred Lady of Our Sorrow becomes a HABIT.

OMD OMD OMD TAAAFFFEEEEEEEE - I was sooooo worried when I spotted that secret agent message that Stanley got. You have been sorely missed my dear - but I am torn, because as a brahamcharini (nun) myself, I can understand your daddy's point of view also... knowing the challenges of the life of spirit however, I wonder if that is quite the right place for such a dynamic and pawticitive personality such as yourself... Meditate on how to integrate spirit with the transactive world and I am here if you need a silent ear...

Meanwhile to Mum, Dad Grandmum - stay strong; you are included in prayers.

Welcome dear Zoe! I just know you have landed on all four paws with this family. Take care all of you. Lots and lots of hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

Pee Ess; was looking for an email for you; if you would like to talk quietly I can be reached on yammacca (at) gmail (dot) com.

  14. We are sending POTP to your grandma. I hope she gets all better. I'm so glad she has Zoe.

How can you possibly be in a convent? Ruh roh. I wonder how being dating a nun will affect Stanley's run for mayor... Hmmm.

  17. We've got our paws crossed for your Grandmother, Taffy! And a convent?!? Eeesh! We've seen 'The Blues Brothers' enough times to know nuns can be scary! Zoe is a cutie, BTW - she looks like she'll be a good nursemaid while your grandmother is undergoing treatment.
