The Ugly Dachshund

Ok, I know, ugly and dachshund should never be in the same sentence. This is actually the name of a Disney movie from the 60's. Mom and I watched it this afternoon on TV and thought we should share it with you. If you haven't ever seen this movie it is very cute and a great family film. All dog lovers will enjoy this movie, not just doxie lovers!
Here is a clip for you to enjoy!

  1. Alpha hates to admit it, but she remembers the film when it first came out! She was living in a dackle house at the time.

We identify with those little 'angels', we're short, hunting dogs who never do anything wrong.

  2. Who's the Hero? Oh that's right it's a Dane! BOL - I loves that movie - except the Dane has cropped ears - then he doesn't - then he does...... confusing special effects of the 60's I guess.

Hey Twix, how is grandma getting along. You haven't said much. I hope she is doing well.

  12. I watched this movie recently with my mom and it annoyed me that she kept smiling and giggling throughout the whole thing beclaws she should save her enthusiasm for me and not for a Great Dane or some short dogs! Really! Very cute that you mentioned this movie for all to admire!
By the way, my mom was HORRIFIED that you had trouble "stealing" my banner today beclaws other blogger pals have not had any problems with it. I wonder if you copied the ENTIRE html code? Maybe you should contact the designer OR contact me directly and I will help you get my beautiful, long-eared self over to your bloggie. Please contact me via misskitty32504ATyAhooDOTcom...okay?

  16. I'm going to have to get Mother Dearest to skidaddle down to the video store to rent this one I think!!!!!

Judging by our favourite movies at home, you'd think she was five years old. She loves the cartoons and heartwarming family movies - Disney of course!
